Publishing & Production Manager (parental leave cover from Jan 2027)
This is a fixed-term, part-time, three day a week parental leave cover role. The Publishing and Production Manager (parental leave cover) manages the publication of stories by young people enrolled in Story Factory programs, in professionally published books, as well as digital formats. The role also manages the logistics of Special Projects, which are large-scale projects involving multiple schools and in partnership with other organisations and artists.
The role is a parental leave cover, for 12 months, with a three month probation period.

Story Factory is a not-for-profit creative writing organisation for young people. We deliver award-winning programs that empower young people from under-resourced communities to find and share their voices, imagine new worlds and write their own futures. Our programs support young people to develop the confidence and literacy to thrive at school and beyond.
Story Factory runs a wide variety of fun and engaging creative writing programs at primary and high schools across Sydney and Western Sydney, at our centres in Redfern and Parramatta, and digitally across Australia. We have also just opened a new centre in Bidwill, Mount Druitt in April 2026.
